Rejoice in the Lord

“…The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God-it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].” –AMP.

~James 5:16

Most people think that prayer is all about petition and telling God about their needs until they receive them. Petition is just one component of the whole package of prayer. Prayer is touching God in the spirit.

Even though the Bible tells us we have the right to manifest the power of God through our prayers, we don’t see most believers accessing their rights as they should. The reason behind this is most believers don’t follow the principle that God has set. God is a God of principle and if we follow those principles accordingly, we can see the power of God manifested through our prayers.

The first key to an effective prayer is to be joyful in the Lord. The Bible tells us in Psalms 34:7“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and petitions of your heart.”-AMP. God knows your needs before you ask him in your prayers; keeping that in mind, you need to come to God through your praise and worship which leads you to fellowship with him in the spirit. Then you will start to experience the joy of the Lord taking control of your being and that is when you tell God what you need because when God becomes the center of your joy, he will let you have your heart’s desire and petition.

Meditate the Word

“Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice!”-AMP.
