Worship

“God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.”

John 4:24

The first thing that comes to mind with most Christians when thinking about worship is singing hymns and praising the lord; but singing and praising the lord is one element of the whole package of worship. Worship means to fellowship with the Lord in the spirit and to become one with him; it is to pour out our soul unto him so that we could become one with him.

The Samaritan woman was debating with Jesus about the exact location to worship God; but Jesus told her that to worship the Father, the requirement is to be in the spirit. When we worship the lord in spirit and truth, we become one with Him; the bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:17, “But the one who is united and joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.” We also discover our true purpose and the reason of our existence as we worship the lord.

God doesn’t listen to your human language he always listens to your spirit. When you worship the lord in the spirit you can interact with him, He accepts your worship and gives you respond by filling you with His Spirit; and at that moment you’ll experience the supernatural joy of the Lord which will make you love and enjoy your existence. If you want to have a meaningful life and if you want to discover your purpose, worship the Lord.
