The Secret Place

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” 

Psalm 91:1

We all have public life which we spend with our friends and families in school, workplace, church and home. But most importantly, we have a private life which God takes seriously. Our private life is the life we spend before the presence of the Lord, one to one in his secret place.

God is found in his secret place; and the more we seek his face, the more we get near to him. James 4:8 says, “Come near to God, and he will come near to you.” In God’s sight, our private life is the most serious and delicate part of our life which we should give a serious attention to as He does. When we are in the secret place of the most High God, we even become invisible to the devil!

Do you have private time with the Lord? How much do you know your heavenly father personally? Your father is always ready to fellowship with you because you are his child. If you are willing to fellowship with your father, take a step into the secret place. Just you and the one who loves you the most. Even Jesus had a habit of being on mountain alone to fellowship with His Father. This secret place is a private time between you and the Lord.
