The Voice of God

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”

~John 10:27

When we live in this world, we hear many kinds of voices both physical and spiritual. But for our own good, the voice we listen and obey should be the voice of God. The devil throws many thoughts into our minds so that he could steal, kill and destroy us; but the intention of the voice of God in our lives is to give us more of his life and increase the anointing we have.

God never speaks to our mind; He always speaks to our spirit. The main key to hear the voice of God in our everyday life is to increase the fellowship we have with him. When Jesus was in this world, He had a strong fellowship with His father; Jesus wants us to have that same fellowship too. Jesus said in John 10:14 “I am the Good Shepherd, and I know [without any doubt those who are] My own and My own know Me [and have a deep, personal relationship with Me].” AMP. Our deep, personal and intimate relationship with the Shepherd leads us to know His voice very well.

God is Spirit and the only way you can communicate with him is through your spirit; listening to his voice and obeying him will give you a life full of His anointing. The more you fellowship with him, the more you will be under the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
