Divine Revelation

“Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.”

Matthew 16:17

God is only revealed to our spirits! People who try to understand God by their intellectual minds miss out on knowing and fully comprehending Him; because to know God in person you should have a divine revelation about His personality.

Jesus asked His disciples about what people think and say of Him and they gave him different answers. But the answer of Simon was unique because it’s not gained from his intellectual ability but from the father in heaven; he said in verse 16 “You are the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed), the Son of the living God.” He was enlightened by God about the true identity of Jesus Christ so God rewarded him by his anointing to lead the church at verse 18 “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” The anointing he received by the revelation took him to the day of Pentecost and the church of God was established through him where more than three thousand souls were saved.

If you have not experienced God in your spirit, ask Him to reveal himself to you. Once God is revealed to you, He will give you the anointing in that particular area of revelation; A turning point of your life that will even affect the lives of people around you. The revelations you receive from God can also have the ability to pass from generation to generation to affect multitudes!
