The Spiritual Man

“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

1 Corinthians 2:14

The natural man is from the natural world and operates in reason and logic. But the Spiritual man is beyond reason and logic; because he is from the spirit world and operates by the law of the Spirit.

Explaining the things of the Spirit to the natural man is impossible; because for the natural man the things of the Spirit are foolishness and also for the spiritual man worldly things are foolishness. It’s like you trying to communicate with someone who doesn’t speak your language. For you to communicate with that person, you should speak a common language. Likewise, to understand the things of the spirit and spiritual people, you should be born of the spirit; John 1:12-13 says, “But as many as received him, to them he gave them power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” 

If you are born from the Spirit then act like it in the way you think, speak and walk. You should renew your mind every day and set it on the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” –John 3:6.
